SoC Emulation Firmware Engineer

As a SoC Emulation Firmware Engineer, you will play a critical role in developing cutting-edge firmware for System-on-Chip (SoC) emulation platforms, empowering our teams to create high-performance, pre-silicon prototypes and driving the development of next-generation SoC products that will revolutionize the way we live and work.
Main responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Conducting functional logic verification of an integrated SoC to ensure design meets specifications.
- Developing and refining scalable and reusable block, subsystem, and SoC verification plans, test benches, and verification environments to meet the required level of coverage and conform to microarchitecture specifications.
- Executing verification plans, running emulation and system simulation models, and analyzing power and performance to verify the design and uncover bugs.
- Replicating, root causing, and debugging issues in the presilicon environment.
- Identifying and implementing corrective measures to resolve failing tests.
- Collaborating and communicating with SoC architects, microarchitects, full chip architects, RTL developers, postsilicon, and physical design teams to improve verification of complex architectural and microarchitectural features.
- Documenting test plans, driving technical reviews of plans and proofs with design and architecture teams, and incorporating security activities within test plans.
- Maintaining and improving existing functional verification infrastructure and methodology, absorbing learning from postsilicon, and updating test plans for missing coverages to proliferate to future products.

Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Electrical Engineering or Electronics and Communication Engineering
- 10 years of combined experience in the following:
- Firmware development, bring up and debug experience.
- System level HW-FW bring up and debug experience.
- Programming Skills in C or C++.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in computer science, or Electrical Engineering or Electronics and Communication Engineering.
- Computer architecture knowledge and hands-on experience with any of x86/ARM/RISC based SoCs.
- Pre-Si and/or Post-Si validation of complex SoCs with HW-FW bring up and debug experience.
- Experience in system level troubleshooting and performance analysis.
