Silicon Physical Design Intern

Job Description

The Intel DCAI China organization develops and productizes enhanced and custom products for Intel China customers. The organization has a growing set of capabilities across silicon design, packaging, platforms, and software for the data center market. Team members can expect to contribute to a wide range of products including: highly specialized compute accelerators, ASICs, integration of customer and Intel IP at the Si level, package/module level integration of Intel and external components, and enhancement of Intel commercial products for unique customer requirements. A Silicon Physical Design Intern is expected to join the team on the silicon back-end design support, to build scripts and run design check tools. In this role your responsibilities may include but are not limited to: ? physical design and implementation of custom SoC designs ? flow automation, chip floorplan, power/clock distribution ? synthesis, place and route and clock tree synthesis, timing and power to create a design database that is ready for manufacturing ? Multiple Power Domain analysis, chip assembly and place and route, timing closure ? static timing analysis, power and noise analysis and back-end verification

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: ? MS or PhD candidates in Microelectronics Science and EngineeringElectrical Engineering or Computer Science ? Excellent scripts skills ? Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English ? Ability to multi-task with good time management, set priorities, and ? Good team player Preferred Qualifications: ? Knowledge about silicon backend design is preferred ? Experience with any of following engineering works would be a plus, including but not limited to, Chip integration and netlist generation; Synthesis, Formal verification, netlist quality check; Place and Route to achieve timing closure for both partition level or full chip level; Develop custom timing scripts using tcl/python; Develop scripts for performing ECO's
