Job Description
The Client Platform Solutions (CPS) team under CCG's Platform Software Engineering (PSE) organization is seeking an experienced software development Engineer to work alongside of talented software professionals to engineer and deliver industry leading software solutions and technologies on Intel's client platforms.
CPS team focuses on the architecture, design, development, integration, and validation of multiple products/solutions that optimizes the power/performance of client platforms as well as introduces new end user experiences through context awareness and AI/ML algorithms.
We are also working on the design and development of top of line algorithms to improve and fine tune Intel's SoC thermals, power management, gaming experiences and Application Specific Optimizations.
In this role, you will work with a cross functional Agile team to deliver one or more CPS SW products in support for pre-silicon, power on and production validated applications to delight our major OEM customers.
The position requires SOLID software development acumen, innovation, understanding and communicating complex solutions, and collaborating with partner organizations and customers.
You will be responsible for, but not limited to: Designs, builds, and validates software that enables the interaction between system software (OS, drivers) and applications, including frameworks and runtime engines.
Contributes to the development of external frameworks that enable others to optimize their software for Intel architectures.
Partners with engineering and architecture teams across Intel, the open-source community, and major customers to design, develop and optimize runtime libraries for threading and for distributed, multi-node environments.
May work within or across organizations including SIV, DAC, SoC, Firmware, Power and Performance, Thermal, Gaming or Connectivity to support, platform frameworks, API abstraction layers, and device drivers and applications. Developing, contributing and leading our high quality and high efficiency software delivery and release strategy, by optimizing the execution of our complex and agile software release process. Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineer or similar technical STEM degree with 4+ years of experience listed below:
- Writing object-oriented production level software in a language such as C, C++, or Java.
- Using common computer science advanced data structures, algorithms, design patterns, unit testing and multithreaded programming.
- Developing system software, OS Drivers and/or system APIs that runs on Windows or Linux.
- Software engineering practices such as OO design, SOLID, design patterns, Test Driven Development.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Computer Engineer, Computer Science, Electrical Engineer or similar technical STEM degree with 6+ years of experience.
- Experience on Power/thermal/Application optimization, triaging, debugging on form factor systems.
- Experience on delivering, triaging and debugging software drivers in support for pre-silicon and power-on system readiness.
- Developing and maintaining software builds and deployment infrastructure.
- Solid experience designing, deploying and managing continues release processes, code branching strategies and software deployment activities.
- Hands on experience and knowledge of agile software engineering practices.
- Solid knowledge of computer architecture and operating systems.

Working Model
