This position is associated to that standalone business strategy and is expected to fully transition to a standalone company at some time in the future.
Under the direction of management, the Global Payroll Lead is responsible for managing the payroll department's daily operations and ensuring that accurate and timely payrolls are processed for all employees in a timely and efficient manner. This position will manage the global payroll staff of 2, oversee payroll processing and reporting for 19 global countries, provide customer service to internal and external customers, and ensure compliance with applicable country and local labor laws, assist with Workday and Global payroll vendor PayrollAdvantage implementation and integration projects.


Payroll Supervisor Duties and Responsibilities
� Support Balance legal entity transition for Payroll (e.g., system modifications), and assist with payroll testing for 1/1/25 payroll launch.
� Collaborate with HR and other departments to ensure accurate employee data updates, such as new hires, terminations, salary changes, and other master data changes are reflected in the payroll system in accordance with set priorities.
� Establish and maintain strong relationship with local payroll providers and vendors to ensure seamless payroll delivery.
� Oversee and manage end-to-end payroll operations for multiple countries.
� Manage the day-to-day operations of the payroll department of outsourced 2-3 payroll specialists, including the review and approval of monthly, and off cycle payrolls for 19 legal entities with a total of 2700 non-US employees in 19 countries in EMEA and APAC.
� Review and verify all payroll inputs, including timesheets, salary adjustments, benefits deductions and all data fed into PayrollAdvantage (AP) through all integrations to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies before sending the data to PA for payroll processing.
� Ensure payroll is processed timely and accurately in accordance with country and local regulations.
� Coordinate year-end payroll processes, including tax reporting, annual statements, and compliance filings for each country.
� Maintain payroll system, including data entry, updating of employee information, and maintenance of electronic time tracking records.
� Conduct periodic payroll audit and reconciliation, audit payroll data in all systems constantly after every payroll run.
� Develop and implement global payroll policies, procedures, and controls to ensure consistent practices and compliance.
� Act as a liaison between all the 3rd parties including but not limited to payroll vendor, HR, Legal, Finance/Accounting (treasury), tax filing services, benefits, commissions, expense reporting and equity administrators, ensuring the reporting, accuracy, timeliness and compliance of all transactions.
� Monitor and manage 3rd party tax filing services, communicate on all tax regulation updates ensuring the system is up-to-date and 3rd party authoritative agency notices have been handled completely. Reconcile monthly payroll tax filings with payroll registers, agency submissions and company bank account statements.
� Ensure compliance with payroll-related regulations regarding wage garnishments, benefits, taxes and other deductions.
� Train and supervise payroll staff and ensure payroll staff is organized and meets deadlines. Provide cross training to payroll coordinators to support for absences and redundancy.
� Supporting employees and stakeholders' queries and providing necessary information and assistance as needed.
� Critically review vendor invoices for all charges and see improvements in processes to eliminate unnecessary payroll runs or correction/amendment requests. Manage vendor contracts.
� Maintain the confidentiality of all employee information and payroll records.


Qualifications


Payroll Supervisor Requirements and Qualifications
� Proven experience as an International Payroll Manager or similar role, with a focus on managing payroll operations across multiple countries and regions.
� Strong understanding of statutory deductions, tax rates, social security requirements, and benefits regulations in EMEA and APAC countries.
� Experience working with international payroll service providers and managing relationships with external vendors.
� Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business or related field.
� GPMI or equivalent certification is preferred. At least 5 years of payroll experience. Certification or professional qualification in payroll such as the CIPP (Certified Information Privacy Professional Diploma) in Payroll Management or related field is advantageous.
� Strong knowledge of payroll principles, practices, and laws, including federal, state, and local regulations.
� Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate complex payroll information to employees and stakeholders.
� Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify errors, resolve discrepancies, and recommend solutions.
� Ability to work with confidential information and maintain strict confidentiality. Understanding of data protection regulations and confidentiality requirements in handling employee information.
� Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
� Proficiency in Workday and Microsoft Office Suite is preferred.

Working Model


This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
