AI Software Development Engineer

Job Description

As an AI (Artificial Intelligence) Software Development Engineer, you will have the opportunity to design, develop and integrate Intel products and features to use artificial intelligence, machine learning, and deep learning.  

You will also focus on all aspects of the software stack that is running on top of the Intel Neural Processing Unit (NPU), ranging from user space applications, operating systems, drivers, compilers to firmware. 

We are a distributed team with our engineers working in a hybrid/remote model. 
Our team is based in Timisoara, but we are open to senior candidates from all over Romania. 

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• At least three years relevant experience on cross-stack software projects. 

• Bachelors / master's in electronic engineering / computer science or equivalent. 

• Programming skills with exposure to multiple programming and scripting languages: C/C++ / Python / Bash. 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge or experience working with compiler technologies. 

• Experience in developing drivers and debugging complex systems. 

• Embedded systems experience and real time operating systems. 

• Ability to create software designs based on architecture and requirements. 

• Ability to clearly communicate concepts and problem statements in a multi-cultural environment. 

• Demonstrated problem-solving skills through prior experience. 

Nice to have:

• GPU/AI-related programming experience. 

• Windows driver development experience.

Working Model

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
