Fab11X Sort Engineering Module Group Leader
Job Description
This position is for a F11X Sort Manufacturing Module Group leader (MGL) with focus on Silicon Photonics wafer level test development. This MGL position will partner with SPPD (Silicon Photonics Product Development) in California and F11x in Rio Rancho, New Mexico, to charter not only deliver of high-volume manufacturing products but additionally design and development of Silicon Photonics.
Candidate will manage a group of Engineers responsible for Sort equipment development, probing process development and characterization, Test Time Reduction, Sort and Etest new product introduction, data disposition, binning and probe card metrology support, new equipment selection, equipment upgrade, Install Qualification for ramp support, and Sort process improvement. This includes all control points for safety, quality, velocity, cost, people, and new technology development deliverables. The MGL will be a key contributing member of the area team that drives 168-hour improvement, alignment and results. Responsibilities include developing tool availability, test performance, parametric performance, meeting cost targets, and improving manufacturability of all new technology processes. The candidate will be expected to role model the factory's guiding principles and reinforce them with their team.

Have a track record of tool install, new process startup activities, and knowledge of ramp process and equipment needs.
Define and establish flow, procedures, and equipment configuration for the module.
Plan and conduct experiments to improve equipment processes.
Drive improvements on quality, reliability, cost, yield, process stability/capability, productivity and safety/ergonomic over variables such as material, method, equipment, environment, and operating personnel.
Develop solutions to problems utilizing formal education, statistical knowledge, and problem-solving tools.
Be flexible in accommodating changing priorities and working hours to support business needs.
Full time onsite required during training, estimated 6 months. After training: hybrid “work from home” to be defined by manager and employee but continued onsite will be required.
Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Minimum Qualifications:
Candidate must possess a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Computer, or Chemical Engineering, or a technical related discipline.
5+ years of experience in testing semiconductor devices such as diodes, lasers, transistors, or similar.
5+ Experience leading a team to drive technical discussions and guide the team to solve technical challenges.
Must be willing to relocate to New Mexico.
Preferred Qualifications:
Deep understanding of Silicon Photonics and wafer sort/test process, able to lead technical discussions and guide the team to solve technical challenges.
5+ years of experience as an Equipment/Process Group Leader.
5+ Experience with silicon photonics tester/prober equipment, and sort/etest processes.
